New Year = Big Books

So I haven't written anything on here for a while, but I have had an idea that I've been sitting on. It doesn't really have anything to do with writing on this blog. And it isn't really interesting for anyone outside of me, I would imagine. But in 2009 I am going to read big books. Tomes. Most likely only books over 500 pages. First up? Moby Dick. I am also going to hit up the following, though this isn't an exclusive list: Infinite Jest, De Kooning, 2666, Complete Writings/Speeches of Martin Luther King, War and Peace, Crime and Punishment, Rising Up and Rising Down. Lots of pages, overall. Not sure how it is going to come off but all I can do is block out the world outside me (most likely the subway or the bus) and delve into some suckers that will make my arms look bigger. Here's to the new year!
